The rainless monsoon
In December we travelled to Malaysia to cover the Monsoon Cup for a Malaysian client. The event which is the last stage of an 8 event global yachting championship is so-named because it is held smack-bang in the middle of Monsoon season. This year however the rain never came making it sensationally hot! There wasn't much wind either for the sailors but somehow the organisers managed to get the event finished on schedule with Englishman Ian Williams winning the world title while new kid on the block Taylor Canfield taking out the Monsoon Cup. Canfield hails from the tropical US Virgin Islands so perhaps he was more familiar with having his brain fried in the sun.
Mercedes-Benz
Here's a shot from a photoshoot we did for Mercedes-Benz late in 2012. We were photographing their driving academy at Ruapuna Raceway where they let customers blast around a track in some of the best and sexiest cars. Of course in the passenger seats are some of Australasia's finest young motor racing talent giving expert advice on driving, cornering, braking, and car control. There was also a selection of Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles available as well but all vehicles whether passenger or commercial where stunning pieces of engineering.

Last project of 2012
To celebrate holidays we created this unique plywood postcard with good old Kiwi summer themes. We had fun making it and clients loved it too, so maybe next year we'll create another one. There are plenty of summer words left... caravan, bqq, sunburn...
